What did you like about the book? Colorful illustrations show many different Olympic sports and how the athletes work hard in order to compete. Children can learn great ways to exercise and excel at their chosen sport. Readers learn about the history of the Olympics, including sports that have been removed from these competitions and new ones that have been added. The importance of practice and hard work is stressed as well as how much fun physical activity can be. Fun facts are scattered throughout along with questions (and answers) that children might ask. Readers can find inspiration from the record breakers, the national pride of athletes and spectators alike, and the joy of achieving one’s goals. Details about the author, Olympian Madeline Kelly complete the book.

To whom would you recommend this book? Children ages 4-8, especially if they like sports, want to learn what’s out there for different sports to explore.
Who should buy this book? Elementary schools, public libraries, and perhaps sports facilities might enjoy it to help inspire youngsters.
