Dinyar
Minocher has always been fascinated by both nature and fire—from the kind
that burns marshmallows to the kind that helps ecosystems flourish! His
adventures in fire began as a wildland firefighter in the beautiful forests
of Alberta. Later, Dinyar joined Parks Canada, where he served as a
firefighter and then as the Visitor Safety & Fire Operations Coordinator
at Grasslands National Park. Today, Dinyar is a founding member and the
Prescribed Fire Coordinator for the Canadian Prairies Prescribed Fire
Exchange. This organization brings together communities, agencies, and land
managers to safely use fire as a tool to protect and nurture the land.
With a master’s degree in resource management and experience as a field
biologist, Dinyar has embraced many exciting roles. When he’s not on the
fireline, Dinyar enjoys tinkering in his woodshop, exploring the great
outdoors with his family, and taking long walks with his dog, Cooper.
