Summer Kiss Book Review: Why Do Crabs Walk Sideways?

Check out what Angie Campbell from Kiss the Book said!

"This non-fiction picture book about sea creatures is full of bright, bold illustrations, fun ocean animal facts, and great questions and prompts for discussion. It manages to incorporate lots of fun interactive opportunities to practice colors, counting and early reading, as well as little side-quests like seek-and-find challenges and physical movement. There's a lot going on on each page, but young readers and learners will be engaged and interested for sure.

This would be a really fun book to read aloud for discussion and participation with a group of young elementary students, or one-on-one with a curious young ocean animal enthusiast. I enjoyed the age and level appropriate back matter - just a few additional bits of interesting info on each of several sea creatures featured throughout the book. Who knew starfish could live up to 35 years, or that blue whales could hear other blue whales up to 1000 miles away? Awesome!"
